Twitter rocks! How’s that for a sound byte? I pretty much always speak in sound bytes, but Twitter’s 140 character limit has helped me hone my craft, LOL

So, people ask me all the time why I love Twitter so much. I hear comments such as, “But isn’t Twitter like a colossal waste of time?” Here’s just one example of the power of Twitter.

A couple of weeks ago, I tweeted that I was looking for some of those free flash drives that companies give out with their logos. A few of my BFF followers sent me drives, including @FezelryJewelry, @Publiside and @GeneSzumowski.

So, I got into a convo with @FezelryJewelry, saw her absolutely GORGEOUS designs and asked her to send me a few pieces to put on my radio show, Beauty School Wednesday on Mix 100.7 Nancy & Chris Mornings in Tampa Bay.

Below is an email I received from Christine Haynes, AKA @FezelryJewelry:

“Hi Jackie Silver, the site crashed!! My site was so swamped with hits “out of Tampa!!” (I can track visitors…and I had to call my hosting people to figure out what up) that is was temporarily down!! Yikes and what!!?? Stick that in your phelps bong and smoke it!! Screw paid advertising! Everyone should be on BSW!!! Oh no wait….. Maybe I should keep that a secret! I totally luv you forever! And I luv flash drives and Twitter!!!!”

So, for anyone who says Twitter is a waste of time, I say, “Bring on the time-wasting!”
