Summer Slim-Down With Jenny

Every year on March 1st, I embark on my Spring Shape-Up to lose those few pounds that crept on during the holidays. Usually I have five to seven pounds to take off which may not sound like much, but if I didn’t lose those few pounds I would gain 20 pounds or more in four short years.

This year my Spring Shape-Up took a back seat to moving, working and just plain lack of time. That’s no excuse!

So, yesterday I started my favorite Shape-Up/Slim-Down program – Jenny Craig. I just love the food and it’s so easy to stick to the Jenny Craig program. Laurie at my Jenny Centre is warm and sweet and encouraging. I’m on day two and I haven’t had one minute of hunger. Usually I’m starving on the first few days of a “diet,” but not with Jenny. I mean, how can anyone be hungry with a menu like today’s? Breakfast included the yummy Sunshine Sandwich, with fluffy eggs and turkey. I added my own fruit, plus coffee, for a satisfying meal. For mid-morning snack, I savored the Cookies ‘n Cream Anytime Bar, which packs all my daily vitamins into what basically tastes like a candy bar. How wonderful is that? Lunch consisted of my favorite – Jenny Craig Tuna Salad with crackers and peaches. The crackers are always fresh, I might add. Later, I had some blueberries and cherries, then Jenny’s delectable Chicken Fettucine and a big, fresh salad with Caesar dressing. Crunchy Cheese Curls as an evening snack rounded out the day. This is NOT diet food. It’s real food and it’s delicious and satisfying. I can’t wait to see what’s on tomorrow’s menu…
